Do you have swelling in your foot, cramping in your calf or a feeling of tiredness or heaviness in your legs? Do you work long hours sitting at a desk or standing in one place? Do you notice when you take your socks off at the end of the day, the impression of your socks stays on your legs? Have you been diagnosed with varicose veins or a venous disorder? If you answered yes to any of these questions, compression stockings may be right for you.

How do Compression stockings work?

Blood circulates through veins to the heart against natural forces of gravity. In a healthy vein, valves open when the blood is being pumped and close at rest to prevent backflow. In an unhealthy vein, pumping action is weakened and backflow can occur. Compression stockings compresses the diameter of the vein which aids the valves to open and close thereby increasing circulation and decreasing backflow of blood. At PhysioCure, we offer a wide range of colours and styles of medical grade compression stockings to suit your needs.
